What do you need to know for me to get an accurate quote?
In order to process your order efficiently we need to know:
If you don’t know all of these pieces of information then still get in touch but it may be more difficult to give you a quote. |

How can I pay?
We accept credit and debit cards, cheques and, of course, cash but all consignments must be paid for before delivery. We also provide trade accounts to regular customers. |

If I want to book a collection what time do I need to book it by?
For most inbound consignments we need to know before 11:30am for collection on that day. For outbound consignments we can often accept shorter notice but please get in touch to be sure. |

Can I book a consignment over the phone?
Unfortunately not. We require instructions in writing so please email us, send a fax, complete our booking form or register with Trans-Porter, our online consignment management system. |

Can I pay on delivery or collection?
We require payment in full before carrying out a collection or delivery. Please see How can I pay? above. |

Can you deliver to Scottish Highlands next day?
Due to the distance to be covered we can normally only offer a 2-3 day service to this area. However, please see our article about specials. |

How do I package a consignment fit for transport?
We aim to get your consignment to its destination in good condition. You can help us by ensuring that it is suitably packed. This may involve using bubble wrap, cardboard, shrink wrap or straps. Always over pack rather than risking any damage. Our staff have been instructed to refuse to collect any consignment that is not suitable for shipping. For valuable items you may wish to contact our packing company Technical Packing Services Ltd. who will be able to build a crate for your goods. |

Do you offer a wrapping service?
Unfortunately we do not offer this service. You may wish to contact our packing company Technical Packing Services Ltd. who will be able to build a crate for your goods. |

Do you transport furniture?
We only transport flat packed furniture which is suitably packaged for transport. |

What is a special?
A special is transport jargon for a dedicated vehicle to transport a consignment from one place to another. We often arrange specials for customers, frequently at short notice, to almost anywhere in the world. If you would like to arrange a special then please get in touch with our customer service team. |

What is Trans-Porter?
Trans-Porter is our online consignment management system. Trans-Porter allows you to book your own collections and deliveries, monitor their progress, receive POD (proof of delivery) notifications and much more. Can I get things delivered onto the Island?
Yes you can! We have receiving depots at Southampton and Portsmouth and we have several trips each day onto the Isle of Wight. Please get in touch with our Customer Services Team who will be happy to help you. |
